The 2010 Acura TSX Is A Luxurious Sporty Car
Acura’s TSX is a beautiful sports coupe that is finally available in 2010 with a more powerful V6 engine. On the exterior, the flared fenders and xenon headlights bolster the vehicle’s athletic and daring look. This vehicle comes in two trims; the TSX base model and the TSX V6. The base model comes with 17″ alloy wheels while the 6 cylinder model sports bigger 18″ wheels. The TSX is a compact vehicle that is a joy to drive and offers lots of luxurious amenities and value for its price.
You can choose from 2 different engines available for the TSX, a V4 and V6. 2010 marks the first time that the TSX will be available with six cylinders. The V4 engine is a 2.4 Ltr with 201 HP while the V6 puts out 280 hp and 254 lb feet of torque. The V4 engine gets 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the freeway while the V6 receives 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the freeway. It takes 5.9 seconds for the V6 model to travel from zero to sixty miles per hour.
The cabin is well constructed and there are metallic accents used throughout. Standard options on every model include a climate control system, leather decked seats, heatable front seats plus a 7-speaker surround system with 360 watts of sound and a USB audio interface which is compatible with most music players. The driver’s seat offers solid support for the back and 8-way power adjustments ensure that you’re always comfortable. All models come with a power moon roof, heated mirrors and an anti theft system.
The optional Technology Package can be added at an extra cost which includes a four hundred and fifteen watt surround system with a 6-disc CD changer, a camera with rear view capabilities, a voice activated navigation system which can be directed by voice and provides updated weather and traffic updates along with restaurant reviews and a climate control system that is GPS linked which maintains the temperature according to the sun’s position.
Many features have been implemented to ensure occupant safety. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering structure is designed to absorb and distribute impact force more evenly in case of an accident. The Electronic Brake Distribution varies pressure to the brakes as necessary while the Anti Lock Braking System prevents wheels from being locked up. An air bag system is in place which includes the Occupant Position Detection System in order to stop the bags from being turned on if a kid or smaller individual is seated. Seat belts come with pretensioners which automatically tension during impact and active head restraints are in place.
The TSX is a solid sporty vehicle with lots of nice extras for the price. The starting price is around $29k which is a competitive price for a vehicle offering sweet features such as heated seats, heated mirrors and a premium sound system.
