By uploading your details using one simple form your vehicle information is matched up with potential buyers and broadcast to those shortlisted. So how does Dealerbid differ from the other ‘Buy my Car’ websites? Unlike either of the two more conventional and well known methods, Dealerbid has merged together the charging of a flat fee and the use of a national network of car buyers. The operation is very simple and easy to use, just enter your vehicle registration number into the box on screen, pay a one-time fee of 10, and your car details are instantly distributed across their network of car buyers. Understandably, some people may be sceptical and slightly wary at paying this small, one-time fee, however, in many cases, bids for your car will be made on that day. You are under no obligation to accept any of the offers made from these dealers, but in almost all cases, the amounts are easily in excess of that offered by the other buy my car websites.

We tested the dealerbid system by obtaining a quote from a well known car buying site and then entered the same details in to dealerbid. Within an hour we had been given 7 offers as well as a few further questions about the Renault Megane we were selling. The offers varied by as much as 900 but the final result was an offer of 6000, 970 more than the car buying website we had used previously.

Following this test, i would certainly use Dealerbid as an initial means of advertising if i wished to sell my car. Reading the customer reviews it appears that there are many very satisfied people who have used the Dealerbid system. Once an offer has been accepted by the seller, the buyer arranges payment via either a Bankers Draft, or direct transfer and once received, will arrange collection. Dealerbid simplifies the process of finding someone to buy my car, and often at a higher price than could be achieved elsewhere.
