Question:

I have a 2001 Dodge Durango 5.9L . For the past week, it has been 95-100 degrees here and I have noticed that my Durango has been slow to crank, like the battery is low…any correlation there?

Answer:

You might have a weak battery. The extreme heat is really not any different then the cold, as in it puts wear and tear on the vehicle. I suggest having the battery tested. Parts stores have the ability to test it and will do so at no charge to you.
