How to Recharge Air Conditioning
Recharging the Air Conditioning System with Freon should only be done if you have the tools and ability to so. If your Air Conditioning is not blowing cold, then properly diagnose the issue first. Do not assume that simply shoving more freon in the system will fix it, as to much freon will not allow the system to work properly. Follow this Air Conditioning System Diagnostic Chart . After you have diagnosed the system and are certain the system is low on freon, then it is time to add more freon. It is a good idea to fix any leak before hand. Read and follow the instructions on the can of freon for installation of the connectors from the can to the low pressure side fitting. If the system is too low to start the compressor working, use a paper clip and jump it across the low pressure switch connector to get it started, then reconnect the connector after a 15 to 20 seconds. Follow the instructions on the can till completed.
